[Fan Account] BAP Live On Earth: Dallas

I'm going to do my best to be detailed but honestly everything went by so quickly and they sang a lot of songs so this might not be perfect but here are my thoughts from B.A.P's live concert in Dallas! This is reallllllly long so I put it under a cut.

[Disclaimer: Not sure why some videos are HQ and some arent...Youtube is hard guys. ill fix it if i figure out how]

I can't begin to explain how great B.A.P is live but I'll do my best. I guess when you watch videos of them on the internet, you know that they are good and you know that they work hard but seeing them live kind of makes all of that "real." They're impressively energetic and they just look like they're having so much fun on stage with each other; they're really natural about their stage presence and dancing so it feels really authentic. I like the way that they connect with their songs on stage; you can tell that they love their music as much as we do so it really made me feel a lot closer with them.

Last November I went to see VIXX at Verizon theatre in Dallas, which was my first k-pop concert, which you can read about here, but VIXX was a showcase rather than a full out concert so I wasn't exactly sure how this one would go but I guess the difference is that at VIXX there was a lot more interaction between the group and the audience, and at BAP it was kind of just straight back to back music with little breaks for videos and cute inspirational things on the screen while they changed outfits. I kind of wish that there had been more interaction with BAP, mainly because that's what I remember more than the performances which seem to kind of feel like a jam sesh to me and I just go crazy and have fun and sing along so it goes by quickly.

The live performances are so much better than watching it on the internet though; they all really belt their voices and work really hard to make it the best performance they can. Daehyun's vocals are out of this world; I don't know how he hits those notes every time. Youngjae, Himchan and Jongup all have really good live voices as well, I was kind of surprised to be honest because they were just that good. Yongguk's voice is sooo deep which we all know but the thing is seeing him live, he's not like a very big man, like he's honestly really small-looking so it's even more amazing that such a voice comes out of him. I couldn't keep my eyes off of Zelo the whole time to be honest...he's just so tall and lean and his dance moves are so smooth I couldn't help but keep staring at him. Not only that but his improvisation is so natural; it feels like he was meant to be a performer. Just everything about his stage presence is impressive; every movement was flawless and he really put a lot of effort into everything; he just looked so passionate up there. His live rapping is SO MUCH BETTER than it is recorded which is amazing because I absolutely loved his rapping before going but now I'm just like... I can't get over the fact that it's so good. Together they have really good chemistry; they're really encouraging and cute on stage together and it just feels like they're having so much fun together and with their fans.

I took some videos, but I kind of wish I hadn't, first because it was kind of distracting to try to focus the camera while watching them in real life; I didn't want to just watch through the screen because hey that's what I always do you know? So I tried to record some of my favorite songs / dances and just watch the rest but it was still kind of distracting; also, my phone was running out of battery and I desperately wanted to get Warrior on video so I was worrying the whole time about Warrior and anticipating it but it was the last song so I didn't even get to record it. I'm embarrassed because my voice sounds like a man in a lot of my videos because I was screaming so much that it hurt, so I'm not going to upload my Body & Soul video because the whole time I'm just derping.

Some people in the Tier 1 seating like me moved up to the front and crowded up there but I felt really bad doing that so I stayed in my seat so I was a bit further than all my friends but that was fine I guess. I wish I had been closer just so that I could have gotten better footage because my friends have such good footage for being so close and mine is kind of not at a good angle but that's okay!

I don't remember what order they sang the songs but I liked the order so I guess that's good. When it was nearing the end I could kind of tell so I was kind of panicking about it so I didn't get to enjoy the Stop It performance as much as I would have liked but it was really cute! Dancing in the Rain was kind of a remix and it was also really good. I wish it would have lasted longer because I love that song a lot but that's okay. They had a lot to get to so I understand why they did it that way. The Bangx2 performance was just really fun, I totally jammed out hard hahaha.

Out of all the songs, the best performances in my opinion were Body&Soul, which is just sexy as hell with the hip thrusting and the body rolls, Badman, because I just really love that song and it's so exciting and fun especially in concert, and Warrior at the end which was a really good way to end the night. Also, Angel was an amazing performance. I kind of forgot about it because Warrior was what was on my mind for a lot of the concert, but when they started singing I was like HELL YES ANGEL.

So here is One Shot:

I'm super embarrassed to post this one because I sound stupid but here's Angel:

Badman:

Here's the fight scene during Punch + Zelo's rap:

Besides the performances, they talked a couple times with us, first to like, thank us for being there and to introduce themselves, then also before the Coffee Shop performance, they pulled out a little mini coffee shop and Daehyun was like "I need a drink! PLEASE!" so they all went and got drinks and then Yongguk asked Zelo and Jongup to pick a fan to take the order of and the first fan asked Zelo what they had and Zelo brought her juice and said "I think this suits you." which was incredibly adorable. Jongup also brought the second fan juice and he's so awkward it was adorable. Here's the video I took:

Before the Lovesick performance there was a video that was a little cartoon about Zelo asking what love is. Here's the video of this:

Then before one of the songs, I don't remember which, there was a video featuring Himchan that was kind of just a cheesy break up video about missing the other person like "Do your fingers still remember his number?" and such but it was cute. Before the Punch performance, there was a video about dedication and hard work which was pretty cool; I was confused why they were showing like a boxing video but then when they sang Punch it made sense. They also talked about what each of the members represents, and Youngjae did a lot of talking and teasing the fans. There was a point where he asked about Daehyun and a fan answered, "Sexy!" and he said, "Sexy? Handsome? No, wrong answer." then when he asked about himself and a fan answered "Sexy!" he said "Yes, right answer." it was really cute. They also had a contest to see which member was the most popular and Himchan went first and it was really, really loud but the loudest was for Yongguk and he said, "That's enough I'm good." it was really cute of him. I of course screamed the loudest for Zelo hehe ^^ They talked about how they went to the baseball game the other day and chanted "Choo! Choo!" a lot for one of the Texas Rangers members and were really excited that Texas won. Himchan said Dallas is a beautiful city and they seemed excited for Texas BBQ. I hope they enjoyed their time. Here's a little video of some of their English:

They also showed a video that taught the fans how to dance to one of their songs, and it was really cute and the video said that Earthlings should do this every morning at breakfast to be the most attractive person hahaha. It was cute because Zelo and Jongup? were on stage with horse masks doing the dance with us and the video was them doing it and they demonstrated and Youngjae was sooo enthusiastic. It was a simple dance where you had to like, high five the person next to you and bob your head with a good expression on your face which they said was important. They also showed us what not to do in which the members slapped each other on the head instead of high-fiving. Also they said if you didn't have anyone to high five it's ok to high five yourself and they showed Youngjae doing that and I died because it was just too cute.

Yongguk I honestly didn't pay much attention to but his hair was just crazy; all curly and long and when he would run across stage it kinda flopped around it was awesome. At one point he was wearing a Dallas jersey and I thought that was really cute. His English is also adorable and every time he said something like "The Earth needs happiness" I would just kind of laugh because his voice makes it sound so serious but his English is just too cute.
Himchan's voice is really beautiful; you don't really notice it much in their music, or at least, I don't really notice it too often but live it is really mesmerizing. I wish Himchan's personality would have come out more; I honestly didn't notice him much because the other members have more parts and dances and whatnot but he talked a couple times. Himchan whenever he would come on the screen while he would talk, would finish talking but the camera would still be on him but he would like, be biting his lips or like adjusting his face or something and it was just hilarious to me because it was like he didn't think the focus was on him but it was. He was really hot though oh my gahhh.
Youngjae was really flirty with the crowd and he took a lot of selcas on people's phones. When he would speak English at times he would say the wrong thing or pronounce it incorrectly and he would start laughing at himself. He came over to my section and jammed out for awhile and he was really sexy to watch to be honest; he tries really hard and dances pretty well and just goes all out. Also, when he would sing, he would always like, bite his lip or run a hand through his hair and it was killing me. Sooo hot.
Daehyun surprised me; his voice is flawless and he makes it sound even better live somehow. Also, he came to my side a bunch of times and I noticed that he's just really happy. Like his fan service was out of the world; he kept throwing hearts and he was being really cute and happy and sweet. At one point I was really enamored with him actually. At the end, all the members went of stage and a fan wanted Daehyun to take a picture on their phone but Daehyun bowed and put his hands together and said sorry because he had to leave too it was really cute of him.
Jongup is sooo thin. Like, amazingly small. He's so short and thin but his dance moves are sooo cool. He was really awkward and shy when he would talk, like I think at one point he asked, "Are you having fun?" and we screamed and he said, "Cool, cool." and stopped talking haha. He showed his abs~ which was reall fun. I'm mad because my phone ran out of battery LITERALLY right before he lifted up his shirt but I got the parts leading up to it.
Zelo...well Zelo was the highlight of the night for me. Just everything about the way he performs is fantastic. His rapping live is amazing, his dancing is always flawless, he was really cute and did a lot of fanservice...he was always on the other side which made me sad but sometimes when he did come closer to me he was really hyper and looked like he was having fun. I think Zelo is just really passionate; I was watching him in the background while the other members have their parts and he's still going hard and doing his best and it's just really sweet. Not to mention, Zelo is soooo tall. Literally, when he came on stage I was just like OH MY GOD he's so tall. Like that's all I could think about for a lot of it. So tall, so lean, and soo dreamy. There was a moment whre his face was on the screen and he ran his hand through his hair and I nearly died. It's like...Youngjae did things like that too, being all sexy and whatnot, but he was doing it on purpose. Zelo would just do things, and it would somehow be seriously so sexy.

Leading up to Jongup's abs:

Overall this was a really good experience; the things that annoyed me were just that they didn't really plan well for the hi-touch event. I bought an album and waited in line for about 50 minutes just to pick it up, and you only have an hour from when the doors open to get to your seat for the show. I didn't get hi-touch but someone that I came with did, but she didn't even get to do it because it was too late at that point. So it was useless to even wait in the long line which I found unfair and kind of unorganized. I really, really, wanted to meet them up close and just see their faces up close, and I was kind of disappointed that even if I had got a hi-touch ticket, I wouldn't have seen them. Also, there was a cameraman going around while we were waiting outside the venue and unfortunately, someone dropped some light sticks and I went to help pick them up RIGHT when the camera man came around. So I have like, no chance of being on video but oh well. I also felt like the merchandise was way over-priced... At VIXX one light stick was $16...at BAP it was $50. A jacket was $100. I don't know who would pay that much money for those things and I wish the light stick was cheap enough for more people to have it. It looks really cool when everyone in the stadium has lightsticks and is waving them at the same time. Last, I wish my phone had more battery; I would have liked to record alot more of the songs but didn't get a chance to.

I'm really glad I got to go and hopefully for the next kpop concert I go to I will get even better seats and be more prepared battery-wise ^^ But BAP was a wonderful experience and I won't forget it! The cool thing is that now, if I listen to a BAP song, I'm going to remember the performance of the song so it makes listening an even more fun experience and meaningful.
