[First Thoughts] Just You

So, I caught up on all the released episodes of Fall in Love With Me, and the next one will be subbed tomorrow morning, but I figure since I don't like waiting and will have to wait a week for each new one or two? to come out, I better find something else to watch. So naturally, because I am the queen of obsession, I turned to another one of Aaron Yan's dramas, Just You. I just finished episode 3 and decided I would type up my first thoughts.

Before watching the drama I read another review of it just to see if it would really be ok for me to watch, and the reviewer said something about having to really turn your brain off when watching it, which is honestly really true. During the entire first episode I was second guessing myself, wondering whether it was really worth it to watch this drama or not. I kept going because I had nothing better to do but honestly it was kind of hard, just because a lot of the plot is just simply unreasonable, and most of the characters are over exaggerated or way too dramatic. Things happen and I'm just sitting here thinking that it would no way in hell happen like that in real life. Part of it might be that I'm not used to the language, but some of the things that they say and the way that they act and react to things is very very stretched.

However, I am enjoying it. I like the main two characters and the plot and for a light-hearted and cute drama that I don't have to invest myself in much emotionally, it's really fun to watch. There are so far not very many 'cute' moments but in the third episode you can tell that the characters are starting to understand each other better, so I'm looking forward to some more moments between them.

As far as Aaron Yan goes, his acting is actually really good, especially in comparison to the other characters. I love the way that he acts with his eyes, and his expressions are perfect. You can always tell what he feels by his face, even if he's 'trying' to look stern, you can see it in his eyes which I love. At first I thought it was kind of weird that he was a clean freak, that would bother me in a man especially considering I don't like the weak type but I've gotten over it and I think it's going to be something that he lightens up about.

I'm hoping that I see more of their personalities complimenting each other and I'm also hoping to see some 'deeper' moments between them.

So far it's looking good and I'll probably breeze through this drama rather quickly to pass the time.
