After watching the 4th, 5th, and 6th episodes of the Kara Project, I was honestly kind of disappointed to learn that Youngji was given the spot in Kara. First, they should have filled both spots, because now all of Kara's old songs are going to have to be re-choreographed and lines are going to have to be re-distributed amongst them, and all of that would have been made easier if there were two spots filled.
Second, I am shocked that Somin or Sojin were not given the chance to be in Kara. Somin especially was always impressive with her live performance and charisma and her overall demeanor on stage and off stage. In the last couple episodes, Youngji made several mistakes, in the recording room and on stage, holding up the performance, etc. and her solo stage wasn't nearly as impressive as some of the other girls. I don't really understand why she was chosen.
Part of me is thankful, because it means the other six can just debut without her, and honestly she was my least favorite, but it all kind of feels unfair. Not to say she isn't talented, but compared to the others, and after watching her progress through the show next to theirs, I would have chosen a different outcome.
Aside from that, all of them grew in outstanding ways and improved greatly and I can't wait to see what is in store for them. I am hoping DSP debuts them soon because they would do really very well. They are all talented and work very well together.
I was also hoping that The Kara Project would show some clips of Kara meeting Baby Kara, but that didn't happen. So many disappointments. No Kara + Baby Kara stage either. They could have done more to promote both groups of girls but I guess they didn't have the opportunity to. Who knows.
All in all, I'm looking forward to seeing where Kara goes and we'll see if adding Youngji does any good or bad to their comebacks.
